Server/Clip Control (DDR)

Broadcasters may have a number of record/replay devices (DDRs – Digital Disk Recorders) that they wish to control from a remote operational position, this device could be from a number of different manufacturers (EVS/Blackmagic/Evertz/Grass Valley, etc.).

It is common practice to bring in rental equipment for some productions, so the make and model can change frequently.

TSL Control will allow full DDR control either from a dedicated hard control panel (such as a TSL USP3-8D) and/or a GUI Virtual Panel – TMVP. In addition, playback or ingest can be scheduled or controlled via a playlist for automated control of your record and playback devices.

There only needs to be one panel for each operator position, and it can flexibly respond to different operational requirements. Where the underlying DDR server may be local or remote, the control surface can dynamically control separate DDR servers makes and models, and gang operations.

Dome Productions is one of North America’s leading production facilities providers, offering mobile production facilities, transmission services, studio facilities and full turnkey host broadcast services.

  • Simplified control for recording, saving cue points, stopping/starting recordings, and playing back in normal or slow motion.
